Robert L. Avary has served in the Houston commercial real estate market since 1985.  Having that entrepreneurial spirit and drive, Mr. Avary founded Alta Commercial Real Estate Services in 2006.  

Robert has represented office, retail and industrial businesses and properties totaling millions of square feet, giving him indispensable experience and skill working with buyers and tenants.

Robert is a graduate of Sam Houston State University.  He has held a Texas Real Estate Broker License since 1987.  In 1995, Robert earned the CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member), which requires a combination of advanced coursework in financial and market analysis, passing examinations, and documented extensive commercial real estate transactions.  CCIM designees are recognized as leading experts in commercial investment real estate.  He served as President of the CCIM Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter in 1999, during which the chapter won the national CCIM President’s Cup Large Chapter Award.

Prior to forming Alta Commercial Real Estate Services, Mr. Avary worked for a diversity of commercial real estate companies.  

He gained expertise and knowledge in the Houston market with The Gustafason Group,  IRES/Banc Commercial Texas,  The Ontra Companies/Guaranty Federal Savings Bank,  Hall Financial Group,  Peeples Realty Company and The Hammerson Property Corporation.  He has also worked as an Independent Petroleum Landman.
