A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Denine moved to Atlanta to attend Spelman College, earning her BA in English in 1991. Before entering real estate, she built a career in public health—serving with the Louisiana and Fulton County Health Programs and as a Data Research Associate with the AIDS Research Consortium. She earned her real estate license in 2003 with Jenny Pruitt & Associates, REALTORS®, later joining Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties, where she served in various roles and advanced to leadership as an Assistant Managing Broker, training agents in sales, marketing, and technology.

In addition, she is a past Local Planning Director for Atlanta with Project REAP, a national program advancing access to careers in commercial real estate, and also a graduate of that program.
