Professional ProfilePost college 1995, I began a two wheeled journey with Harley Davidson in Rapid City/Sturgis, SD. As an action-oriented, international company, Harley Davidson's culture taught me the value of commitment to stakeholders (customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, government, and society). As the number one dealership in the country, we focused on relationships and processes to ensure that we streamlined the annual "Sturgis experience" with our customers and fan base.
In 2005, the next challenge for me? Joining one of the largest sales and profit volume Walmart stores in the world! Yes. Rapid City, SD. Being the largest private employer in the country, Walmart continues to have a simple corporate mission statement - “to save people money so they can live better.” This statement reflects the ideals of the company's founder, Sam Walton, who would fly in his plane and navigate Interstate 90 to find the stores in South Dakota! Promotions led to a three month education at Walmart's Leadership Academy and a successful store manager position in Sandpoint, Idaho. Strategic decisions through tactical steps and including key employee changes led to the store's best performance in her history. The best part? Rewarding employees with maximum bonuses and promotions!
Finding Idaho did not fit well in our family plans and despite the success at Walmart, we opted to move back to Rapid City and start a career in real estate in 2013. Having better flexibility in my schedule led to a much better work and life balance and after spending some time at an independent firm, I found a great home at RE/MAX Advantage. I quickly discovered that RE/MAX has an incredible mission statement that allows independence but with a great support team and unique competitive advantages! "We believe real estate buyers and sellers everywhere deserve the world-class services of outstanding agents who are skilled, driven and focused on achieving outstanding results."
